DIMAPUR — A woman from Nagaland, serving in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and currently posted in Delhi, has filed a complaint at Medziphema Police Station in Chümoukedima district against unidentified social media users for allegedly targeting her with fake, malicious and defamatory online content.
The complainant lodged a First Information Report (FIR) alleging criminal defamation, false terrorist allegations, cyber harassment, character assassination and circulation of obscene content.
Confirming the development, the officer-in-charge of Medziphema Police Station told Eastern Mirror that the complaint was filed three days ago.
He added that senior officials have suggested transferring the case to Delhi, considering her current place of posting.

In her complaint, she stated that she is a disciplined serving member of the SSB, committed to her constitutional duties.
She alleged that certain individuals had circulated her photos and videos on social media, falsely branding her as a “Kuki narco terrorist.”
She further claimed that the posts included vulgar, obscene and abusive captions intended to damage her dignity, tarnish her professional image, publicly humiliate her and incite hatred.
The complainant stated that falsely portraying a serving security personnel as a terrorist not only harms personal dignity and mental well-being but also undermines the reputation of a government servant.
She has urged the police to take action under relevant legal provisions.
