Special training for widows launch at Pinnacle Skills

[caption id="attachment_93728" align="alignnone" width="560"]DWO Dimapur Tosheli Sema speaking at the inauguration function123 District Welfare Officer, Dimapur, Tosheli Sema speaking at the launching programme.[/caption] Dimapur, Jan. 17: A special training for widows, sponsored by Tata Trusts, was launched by District Welfare Officer Dimapur, Tosheli Sema on January 17 at Pinnacle Skills, Nagarjan Dimapur. The training will offer three months training program on cutting & tailoring for widows. Trainees will also receive stipend of Rs. 1,500 per month and after training, widows will be given a sewing machine and certificate. Speaking at the launching programme as the chief guest, Tosheli appreciated the unique opportunity given to widows. She mentioned that besides getting trained, widows can also use the opportunity to make new friends. She asked the widows to also take benefit of the government’s pension scheme for widows. The programme was chaired by assistant manager training, ajung Jamir, director of Aloino centre and Chaplain Central Jail Dimapur, Anshley Sumi offered the prayer while chief executive of Pinnacle Skills, Dr. Yan Murry presented a project overview and executive director of Pinnacle Skills, Jenny Haining Murry proposed vote of thanks. CDPO Dimapur (Urban), Asangla Jamir also attended the programme.
