Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): Special Summary Revision and training-cum-meeting of EROs and AEROS was held at DC conference hall Kohima on Sep. 15. CEO, Abhijit Sinha in his opening remark informed that to have clean election such Special Summary Revision are required to purview the electoral roll from time to time. He said training constitutes a basic concept in every human resource development learning through experience and added that training is a highly useful tool which can bring changes in work experience where one can to do their job correctly, effectively and conscientiously. Training is an act of increasing the knowledge and skill of a person for doing a job in a more professionally way, he added. He also informed that all necessary equipments will be provide next week and advised the EROs and AEROS to cheek the department website for all important notification has been updated as per the Election Commission of India. CEO mentioned that election observer both from the state and central observer will be visiting to the entire districts; therefore, he called upon the gathering to work without fear and favor. DCEO Ruokuovituo Khezhie shared about the importance of legal provision and structures on election matter. ACEO Awa Lorin shared on the general instruction and preparation of draft roll. ACEOR, Mhathung informed on the importance of using EVM/VVPAT and added that it has becoming mandatory as per the direction of election commission to ensured and impart training to all the constituencies where VVPAT will be using in the coming election on the direction of the election commission so the department has been creating awareness and training activities undertaken for familiarization of VVPAT. He also informed the gathering that the department will undertake special camps at rural hamlets to display and provide hand-on experience to people on the EVM and VVPAT machine. Braille sheets of the EVMs shall also be available on all polling stations to facilitate and educated the voter, he added. AEO (MIS), Ketuosie-u Khruomo shared the gathering on the importance of ERO Net and IT applications the awareness of the EVM and the need of awareness to familiarize electors with the operation of the EVM. DCEO Vekho Vero mentioned on the importance and the uses of SVEEP and thanked DEO for carrying out awareness campaign informing that having one’s name in the voter list is a pre-requisite right for every citizen for casting vote. He mentioned that people must be informed that they should check their names in the electoral roll even if they possess an EPIC. He informed that national SVEEP programme having already achieved increased electoral participation in its years now aspires for complete and qualitative participation in the coming years and to stay comprehensively and creatively engaged in the pursuit of this goal.
