[caption id="attachment_100559" align="alignnone" width="559"]Healthy Baby Show at Chenwetnyu Healthy Baby Show during the special outreach programme at Chenwetnyu village.[/caption]   Dimapur, February 28: The Directorate of Field Publicity Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Field Publicity Office, Mon organized a special outreach programme on RMNCH+A with special focus on Mission Indradhanush, Population Stabilization, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Anaemia among adolescent girls, at Chenwetnyu village, Noksen town and Litem village on February 27. Dr. Shockwang, MO, PHC, Chen town who was the resource person of the programme, emphasized on the need for all mother to be in good health so as to take care of the health of her children. He said proper ANC check up of a mother and immunization of the child on time is very important for a child’s growth. He also spoke on family planning and encouraged maintaining at least two years gap between the children. Mathew SK Begam, FPO, DEP, Mon gave a brief introduction about the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and Field Publicity, which works as a bridge between the Government and people from grassroot level. Hingkai Konyak, BPM, NHM, Mon Sardar spoke on proper immunization and ANC check up. Welcome address was delivered by PM Nockpai, chairman of Village Council while vote of thanks was proposed by T. Wangnyiem, VDB secretary of Chenwetnyu village. A total of 87 children were registered during the programme. As a part of the programme, a ‘Healthy Baby Show’ in the category of 0- 2 years was also organized. Healthy baby was selected on the basis of ANC check up of mother and immunization of the child on time. A public rally was also organized on the same theme. In Noksen town, chief guest, SDO (Civil) Noksen, Imsenperong emphasized on the need for all mothers to be in good health so as to take care of the health of her children. As a part of the programme, Healthy Baby Contest for 0-2 years was also organised, whereien Sangtemsonla, Mosha and Songmaichila were adjudged as winners. A public rally was organised on the same theme. The same programme was also conducted at Litem village on February 26.
