Special camp for identification of PWD electors in Kohima
DIMAPUR — With the primary focus to identify and register Persons with Disabilities (PwD) electors in Kohima district, specifically those with 40% or more disability, a three-day special camp would be conducted from November 22 to the 24th.
The special camp has been initiated by the deputy commissioner and district election officer of Kohima, in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare department, in connection with the ongoing special summary revision of the photo electoral roll with reference to January 1, 2024, as the qualifying date. A DIPR report stated that the special camp would be held at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) between 10 am and 2 pm on the aforesaid dates.
All registered PwD electors falling under the jurisdiction of Kohima district have been urged to take advantage of the opportunity. It mentioned that the process is crucial for benchmarking and ensuring the accuracy of the electoral roll, taking into account the unique needs and considerations of PwD electors.
