[caption id="attachment_191855" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Soil conservation assistants hands-on experience at the directorate’s Soil Testing Laboratory.[/caption] Dimapur, June 27 (EMN): The two-day training on soil sample collection and analysis was conducted by the department of Soil & Water Conservation at the directorate’s Soil Testing Laboratory for soil conservation assistants. The training was conducted with the objective of improve and update the skill in modern techniques of soil testing, analysis and its interpretation, the press release from the department  informed. In his opening remarks, Additional Director Viliehu Nguzhü, exhorted the participants to make the most of the training and further encouraged them to be attentive, sincere. A brief note on the importance and objectives of the training was delivered by Soil Survey Officer Kum Khroteu Ritse. The training was detailed with hands on experience to the participants besides demonstrations. Resource persons for the training programme were officials from the department. Soil conservation assistants from the districts of Kiphire, Peren and Dimapur attended the training.
