Social organisations of KA temporarily calls off bandh

Agrees to wait for the court’s decision regarding trade licence cancellation of Roy bakery.

Diphu, Nov.13 (EMN): The social organisations of Karbi Anglong held a meeting with Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) , Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang to discuss on the issue of cancellation of trading license of Roy Bakery.
The meeting was held on Nov. 12 Sun. at CEM bungalow.
Stating the ongoing issue as ‘subjudic’, CEM Ronghang said the decision can be made only after the decision is made from the court.
The leaders of the social organisations agreed to temporarily withdraw the bandh at Diphu town after CEM assured the leaders that the trading license of the bakery will be cancelled if found guilty for the food poisoning.
During the meeting, the trading license of Roy Bakery was temporarily suspended till the submission of the final report is submitted by Joint director of health services, and order of the deputy secretary of taxation department of KAAC.
Mention can be made that the social organisations has called indefinite bandh of Diphu market from Fri. after the bakery was seen reopen whilst a person was assaulted by the police who was caught questioning on ‘trade license’ at the said bakery.
