DIMAPUR — The 4th phase district-level social audit and public hearing under MGNREGA for the financial year 2023-24 was held at DPDB conference hall in Kohima on Friday.
This was informed in a press release issued by project officer of MGNREGA, Kevilhoubeiü. It stated that gram panchayat/ villages including Zhadima, Nachama, Tsiesema Bawe, Chiechama and Dihoma under Chiephobozou RD block and New Tesophenyu, Nsunyu, Sishunu, Tsongsa and K Station under Chunlikha RD block attended the programme.
Project director of MGNREGA, Pfukrulhou Koza, chaired the programme, while the state resource person of social audit, Vepo Keyho, highlighted on MGNREGA programme and the importance of social audit.
Assistant audit officer, Taorem Arun Singh, was the independent observer from the office of the Accountant General and EAC of Botsa, Dr. Riku Khutso, represented the district administration as the independent observer.
The programme concluded with reading out village-wise gram sabha resolution and vote of thanks by the chairperson.
