DIMAPUR — With an aim to encourage young people to read the Bible, the Youth Ministry of Sümi Baptist Church Diphupar (SBCD) initiated the ‘Bible writing project 2025.’
An update from the youth ministry stated that a total of 66 youth volunteered to participate in writing the Bible. It stated that all the participants admitted to have been blessed and encouraged in the process of writing the Bible, while many also acknowledged that it was an opportunity to learn and explore the rich Sümi dialect.
One of the youth commented, “Each verse I wrote drew me closer to God, filling me with joy, strength, and a deeper faith,” while another writer shared a powerful statement saying, “While writing the story of Samson, something came up to my mind, I was afraid of lions until Samson killed one, now I fear what killed Samson.”
