Kohima District Inter-School Football Tournament

Kohima, July 9 (EMN): St. Mary’s Cathedral Higher Secondary School and Don Bosco Higher Secondary School secured quarter-final berths after winning on Tuesday, at the ongoing third Kohima District Inter-School Football Tournament, at the IG Stadium in Kohima.
St. Mary’s Cathedral Higher Secondary School emerged winner in the first match after defeating Chandmari Higher Secondary School 2-0. Both the goals came in the 57th and 61st minute of the second half from the boots of Jigme and Viva respectively.
In the second match, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School beat Christ King Higher Secondary School 4-2 through penalty after the match ended 1-1 in the stipulated time.
Earlier, during the stipulated 60 minute match, Khriesizo scored for Don Bosco HSS in the 23rd minute while Mhaphruolhou Sekhose of Christ King HSS scored in the 27th minute.
