3rd T20 Champions’ Trophy: SMCC, Brezza IX, Flying Rabbit win
Silver Machete Cricket Club (SMCC) defeated NIT Nagaland by 261 runs on the second day of the 3rd Champions’ Trophy T-20 cricket tournament.
Machete CC won the toss and batted first, setting a target of 306 runs. NIT Nagaland were all bowled out for just 44 runs. SMCC won the match by 261 runs.
In the second match, Brezza IX CC faced Optimus CC where Brezza IX CC set a target of 275 runs.
Chasing the target, Optimus CC managed to score 193, losing the match by 82 runs.
In the third and final match of the day, defending champion Flying Rabbit BCC faced Royal CC. Batting first, Royal CC set a target of 171 runs. Flying Rabbit managed to chase the target in just 14.2 overs, winning by three wickets.
The 3rd Champions Trophy is being organised by Nagamese Baptist Fellowship Sports Ministry Chumoukedima village at Chumoukedima town local ground.
A total of 32 teams are participating in this tournament.
In the inaugural match played yesterday, Highlander CC defeated Veterans CC. Highlander CC won the toss and decided to bat and set a target of 313 runs with the loss of five wickets. Veterans CC were all bowled out at 68 runs. Highlander CC won the match by 244 runs where Dildar Hussain won the man of the match award for scoring 102 runs.
