SM College conducts workshop for staff members

It was organised under the ‘Institutional values and best practices’ (IQAC) of the college with Atemla Anichari, former counsellor of Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur, as the resource person. There were two separate sessions for the clerical and the support staff, a press statement from the college informed. During the first session of the workshop, participants were encouraged “to have core belief in self, which is a driving force to motivate and to develop a firm conviction towards work,” it said. Anichari talked about the traits that were prerequisite for an individual working for an institution and stressed on the “aspects related to professionalism like adhering towards integrity, accountability, diligence, perseverance and self-discipline”, the statement said. She also spoke on the actions that would enable the development of “good work ethics, communication skills etc.” The second session, which was for the non-teaching staff, was the “first of its kind in the institution” and “culminated with an enriching, productive session,” it read.
