Skill training in heavy earth moving machinery underway in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, Sep. 27 (EMN): A week-long skill training in heavy earth moving machinery for junior excavator operators got underway at Imkongmeren Sports Complex in Mokokchung on Monday.

The training will be imparted to the trainees as per NSDC curriculum.

Executive Engineer PWD (Mechanical) Mokokchung Division Imsapang informed that 50 participants will undergo a week-long training on minor and basic operation of heavy machines, detailed lessons on parts and components in earth moving machines, engine oil meter reading, changing of air filters, cutting tools, greasing- daily maintenance needed for heavy machinery plus earth cutting techniques.

Imsapang asserted that if they learned their training well, they would get the opportunity to be employed as skilled junior excavator operators.

Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (C) Mokokchung who spoke at the inaugural programme extended appreciation to the PWD Mechanical Department and Zynorique Initiative Kohima for providing free training to the youths of the district and encouraged the training participants to attend the training with the spirit of learning and skilling.

While T Imlisunep, Secretary District Skill Committee also highlighted the objective of imparting skill training in heavy earth moving machinery to the participants.
