Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): Senior officers from the ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship visited Kiphire district on September 2 during which they conducted meetings with district officers, tribal community leaders, nongovernmental organisations and students, among others.
The meeting was conducted in the deputy commissioner’s conference hall in Kiphire, the IPR stated. According to the IPR, they discussed matters about challenges in implementing skill programmes in Kiphire district.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave on Tuesday updates about the programme.
Secretary of the ministry Dr. KP Krishnan and his team highlighted the importance of skill development at the grass root. He was stated to have assured full support in ‘building a better Kiphire district in general,’ the IPR reported. He highlighted also an upcoming ITI institution in the district which the IPR stated would be established soon.
‘Krishnan urged the people of Kiphire to support the government and work with district administrators in building a better district in various schemes, and job events.’
The team will have interactions with volunteers, students, Gaon Burah, and tribal leaders in imparting skill training, it was informed.
