Skill development training held in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, Dec. 8 (EMN): A one-day basic training on skill development under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) support activity was organised by PHED Mokokchung division at town hall in Tuli on December 7.
Resource person Jongpongyapang, SDO PHED Mokokchung, highlighted the objectives of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), which is to ensure clean and safe drinking (of adequate quality and quantity) to every household by 2024 as well as to bring water supply to their doorsteps.
The main aim of the training was to impart basic skill development to ensure sustainability of the water supply infrastructure and to enhance the skill of the village functionaries for operation and maintenance of assets.
Basic development training on plumbing and welding systems was imparted to the trainees. The master trainers were I Wati (plumbing) and Yarenba (welding system). Altogether, 53 trainees from 20 villages from Changtongya, Tuli and Mangkolemba blocks attended the training.
