Dimapur, Sep 11 (EMN): The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Village Adoption Committee (VAC) of 14th Southern Angami Constituency-1 organised a programme on skill and livelihood development cum road safety awareness on September 7 at Mima village council hall.
The Committee advisor and parliamentary secretary, Er. Vikho-o Yhoshü, has lauded the Committee members for their selfless services rendered for the uplift of the rural people. He further urged the villagers to cooperate and avail the necessary help extended from the Committee members and respective government departments.
Speeches were also delivered by the Committee members namely Dr. Watijungshi, principal of Kohima College; Neizetuonuo, DEO; and Alem Longchar, SDO Jakhama.
The awareness on skill and livelihood development and road safety awareness was presented by Ketholenuo Soleho, Project Officer NCUI, and Keneingumo Clara, RTO, respectively.
The practical session on detergent washing powder and cleaning gel making was demonstrated by Ketoseno.
The programme was chaired by Committee convenor, Anthony Yhome, ARCS Kohima. Village leaders and youth members attended the programme.
