SJU organises mental health awareness programme held for govt. schools
DIMAPUR — A mental health awareness programme was organised by the Department of Psychology and Counselling, St. Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima, in collaboration with the Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and Research Center (CRIMHSC), Kohima, on Thursday.
The programme was held at Government Primary School, Diphupar A, and Government Higher Secondary School, Diphupar A, an update stated.
A total of 15 PG students from St. Joseph University, Department of Psychology and Counselling, along with the class coordinator, Linoka Chisho, assistant professor, and five members from the Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and School Counselling, along with the chairman of CRIMHSC, Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere were present at the event.
The resource persons, Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere and Linoka Chisho, spoke about the importance of mental health, various mental health issues and problems that every student might face, and how to deal with mental health issues more effectively.
The students from the university performed a song, and some chart presentations related to mental health were distributed to both schools.
