St. Joseph University conducts NCC orientation for new cadets

DIMAPUR — St. Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima, conducted an NCC orientation programme for the 60 newly enrolled cadets on September 9 at the university’s seminar hall.

The university in a press release stated that Colonel CST Swami, commanding officer of 25 NL NCC Unit, was the lecturer of the orientation programme, which was “piloted” by cadets Dan of Education department and Toki T Zimo of BSW department.

Swami shared the various benefits of being an NCC cadet and motivated the students through inspirational video clips and interaction sessions with the cadets. The cadets also raised queries regarding the NCC and the Indian Army.

Earlier, Dr. Marsosang Pongen, caretaker officer (CTO) NCC, delivered the welcome address.
