SJC History department hosts 4th edition of ‘Historia Fest’

DIMAPUR — History department of St. Joseph’s College (SJC), Jakhama, celebrated its 4th ‘Historia Fest’ on February 10 at the college indoor stadium on the theme “Concelebro Historia.”

An update from the college informed that Kedoseno Rino, EAC (Probationer) and alumna of the college (2019 batch), was the special guest of the event. In her address to the students, Rino underscored the importance of dedication and hard work in their academic pursuit to achieve success in life. She also stressed on the overall development of students.

It stated that the special guest also declared the competition opened.

In the ‘Natak competition’ category, the MA 4th semester students won the first place for “Fall of the throne,” while the BA 2nd semester students won the second place for “Jina and Etibenin.”

In the cosplay competition basing on Bollywood characters, Daisy of BA 4th semester  won the first position for playing the character of Kareena Kapoor in the movie ‘Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham,’ while the second position was won by Nusatulu of MA 2nd semester for playing the role of Kajol from the movie ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.’

In the sketch competition, Tianuksang Lemtur of BA 4th semester  won the first position, while Hinikelo Tep of BA 6th semester  won the second position.

Report stated that Kumsuto Achumi and Stella of MA 2nd semester were crowned Mr. and Ms. Historia 2024.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kelengunuo Yongo, cultural secretary of History department.
