DIMAPUR — The annual college week of St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, kicked off on Monday at the college’s football ground with Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhusto, MLA as the special guest for the inaugural ceremony.
According to an update, the theme of the college week was ‘Empowering athletes, inspiring dreams.’
In his address, Dr. Rhusto stressed on the importance of participation saying that winning should not be the end goal and that “winning is not the only teacher in life, but failure also is an integral teacher that helps one learn from errors.”
The college week includes a vast array of athletic events including basketball, football, long jump, volleyball and indoor games such as table tennis, chess, arm wrestling, cultural events and Naga wrestling. The weeklong celebration of the college week will culminate on November 1.
