DIMAPUR — The Alumni Association of St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama, in collaboration with the Badminton Club SJC (A), organised an open badminton tournament at the college’s indoor stadium on Saturday.
Fr. Dr. S Obed Yimchunger, the vice principal, Students’ Affairs, SJC (A), declared the tournament open and wished the players luck, an update from the college stated.
The tournament included 30+ Men’s Doubles, 18+ Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles categories.
Winners of different categories:
30+ Men’s Doubles:
First: Fr. Dr. Peter Solo and Thepfuvizo Vizo
Second: Yhunsinlo Tep and Modosou Krocha
18+ Men’s Doubles:
First: Kelesetuo Vitsu and Toka Chishi
Second: Dakhru Dukru and Kenizelie Sakhrie
Mixed Doubles:
First: Toka Chishi and Neivikono Seyietsu
Second: Wepretso and Alemjungla Ao
The tournament concluded with the award ceremony. The Alumni Association of the college sponsored the cash prizes and certificates.
