DIMAPUR — Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama, organised a two-day workshop on ‘Transformative and enhancement of quality in higher educational institutions: Perspective of NEP 2020’ for the staff of the college on July 10 and 11.
An update from the college stated that the workshop was sponsored by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.
Delivering the keynote address at the inaugural session, Prof. Buno Legiese, head of Education department at Nagaland University, raised the need to be flexible and being alert with the introduction of the NEP 2020 across the universities in the country. She also highlighted the various positive points from the frames of the NEP 2020.

It stated that Prof. Dipak Sinha, IQAC director and nodal officer of NEP 2020 for Nagaland University, and Dr. Medongoi Rhakho, deputy director (Academics) of Higher Education, government of Nagaland, were the resource persons. They spoke on different aspects of NEP 2020 from different angles including the frame work for the implementation of FYUGP in the colleges in Nagaland according to the guidelines laid down in the policy.
It mentioned that St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama, is implementing the NEP 2020 from the current year academic session starting in July as with the Nagaland University.
After two sessions chaired by the college principal, Fr. Dr. George Keduolhou Angami, the workshop ended with a valedictory session held on July 11, wherein Dr. Nokhwenu Veronica, deputy director of Higher Education, delivered the valedictory address. She has lauded the college and its members for the good works done.
