[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he truths of the scripture will either push sinners to the pit or deliver them from the pit. What we are witnessing in this present generation is death destruction and calamities. It has to be made known that our sins are recorded daily and it will only continue to grow worse if we continue to live immoral and perverse lives. The people of the world are trapped in their own sins and enslaved by their own desires. If we pursue evil, the certainty is that we shall be destroyed by it ( Proverbs 14:19b ).God has m ade it clear in His Word that He shall give to each person according to what he has done (Romans 2:6)Our people are perishing and it hurts to see them die in their sins. When we visit the wine bars, the pubs and the headquarters of sin, we find that their areas are not only defiled by sin but also by the presence of wicked men and women. When sinners get drunk, they not only make a mess of their lives but they also becomes objects of ridicule because of their own sins. The Word of God says “ Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me ( Psalm 51:5 ). Whatever is written in the scripture is the truth and the promises and the curses written in it will be fulfilled in the lives of all the people of the world on the judgment day.
If sinners invites each other to enjoy the pleasures of sin, the curses of God’s Word shall surely befall the sinners and their children. The love of wine and women had not only led many women astray but it has also led them to their own destruction. Truth is, they drink that they may be less conscious of their sins and yet enjoy the sins. Some men are like Satan who entices women to drink and when they are fully drunk, they start their acts of wickedness against them. Some girls may also feel justified by this phrase but truth is that every sinners are guilty of sin and the ones who reads this may also be guilty of it. The nature of judgment regarding these sins is such that the men will be guilty of defiling women, and the women will also be guilty because of their lack of self-control. Such men and women are in our midst today and their end will be what their actions deserve. The book of life says “Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbor, pouring from the wineskin till they are drunk, so that he can gaze on their naked bodies. You will be filled with shame instead of glory. Now its your turn! drink and be exposed! The cup from the Lord’s right hand is coming round to you, and disgrace will cover your glory (Habakkuk 2:15-16).
These are the sins which confronts us and these are the challenges which we have to overcome. It is a trend which has become the sinners movement. The acts of wickedness which the sinner indulges in will one day be revealed on the appointed day. In addition to the consequences of judgment, the harsh truth is that they will not only be judged and condemned but their sins will also be exposed to the whole world. Every sinner knows what their sins are and every sinner has to confess their sins if they want their nakedness to be covered. The sins of the past can now be forgiven because of the promises of the Word. If we accept this gift of forgiveness, eternal life can be ours, but if we tend to reject it, we shall be cast into the lake of fire with our likes. Harsh as it sounds, we will either be forgiven or condemned. The sins of the predators are great and greater will be the punishment of the guilty.
In conclusion, I put this scripture before you and I pray that you will be delivered from all the sins which has been controlling your mind, body and soul. The outline of the scripture are as follows “As obedient children do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written. “Be Holy because I am Holy”. ( 1st Peter 1:14-16 ). May you always be edified as you pursue righteousness. God is watching you and you shall not be judged if you sin not. But you will be judged if you sin now. The Church of Christ awaits your return.
