Silver White earns first point at MPL

Kohima, May 3 (EMN): Silver White drew against defending champion, Merhulietsa Sunrisers 2-2 and earned the first point of the season after playing nine matches of the tournament. Silver White earned its first point of the season at the ongoing Morning Premier League at Seikhazou ground, Kohima on Wednesday. MRH Sunrisers found the net in the 3rd minute through Asat, while Gaynon fought back and managed to equalise in the 35th minute for Silver White to end the first half 1-1. In the second half, Silver White managed to strike the lead through Tesah in the 68th minute. Despite claims of clear handball by opponents, Chuba struck the ball into nets for Sunrisers in the 78th minute, which was declared a goal by match referee Taka. The moment developed clash between Silver White players and referees, halting the match for few minutes but was finally accepted with match referee apologising to have not seen the handball and that he assumed the players were calling for offside. MRH Sunrisers dropped two points of the Morning Premier League and have 10 points in hand, while Silver White sits at the bottom with 1 point.
