Silver Cup T20 Cricket: Peraciezie Royals, Victoria CC register big wins

Kohima, March 14 (EMN): Peraciezie Royals and Victoria CC Dimapur opened their campaigns in style at the 8th Silver Cup T20 Cricket Tournament which commenced in Jakhama local ground on Monday.
Playing the second-day at Jakhama, Peraciezie Royals defeated Kingz by 85 runs in the first match. Favoured in toss, Peraciezie elected to bat setting a target of 146 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Ejanthung scored highest 28 runs for Peraciezie while Renchathung also contributed 22 runs.
Sandeep and Senti took two wickets each for Kingz.
In reply, Kingz were bowled out for 61 runs in 14.4 overs as Alo and Saroj combined for 4 wickets.
Renchathung with 3 wickets and 22 runs was adjudged man of the match.In the second match, Indomitable 15 opted to field after winning the toss against Victoria CC Dimapur. Taking advantage of loose fielding and poor bowling, Victoria CC managed to score 171 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Kamrul scored highest 35 runs and Mughavi made 32 runs for Victoria CC.
Pradip and SK Pal claimed two wickets each.
Chasing the target, Indomitable could manage to score only 111 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Michael of Victoria CC Dimapur was declared man of the match for claiming 3 wickets and scoring 24 runs.
