Legendary Lotha local Artist Silas Kikon passed away at Civil Hospital, Wokha 25/06/2016.
His body was laid to rest at his native village Lakhuti.
He was famously remembered for his hit song “Ayo Choro Kupi Na” and for his contribution towards the promotion of Lotha songs in this modern era.
Famously wrote, arranged, produced and played almost all of his hit records.
And the studio,
He was unstoppable.
But the magic really happened on stage.
He would vamp, preen and tease an audience into a frenzy, then slay them with a quiet moment of crystalline beauty.
He was a joy to watch.
I think there is something mysterious in his voice that increase his voice quality and prefer him as the Most talented singer…. casual/flexible/apt/realistic/singer ever born in NAGALAND soil.
He was a star worthy of infinite praise.
the most powerful singing voice of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
His singing style characterized itself for mastering several styles, every single musical style or sound feature he took in his hands he demonstrated to master it and even perfect it, taking it beyond any limits in terms of artistic expressionism and full enrichment, but even better than these facts is the one that he created a style of his own, yes, that is,
I mean such is the height of the transcendence of his Multi powerful Legacy, you just need to listen to a couple of his songs and will get what I and many many more are saying, and he achieved all this by only being true to himself!
By setting his heart free….!
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE
