The 2nd Showuba Memorial Volleyball Running Trophy organised by Sunrise Club Shamator concluded on August 15 which coincided with the celebration of the Independence Day. The closing function was grace by Parliamentary Secretary for CAWD, R Tohanba, who was warmly welcomed by the organising committee. The chief guest, in his speech, has exhorted the participants to aim for higher goal and to excel in the state, national and international level, while citing example of Late Dr. T Ao and Chekrovolu Swuro.
To those who could not make it to the final, he has encouraged them to prepare well in the near future while in the same note he also extended good wishes to the finalist team. All together 27 teams took part in the tournament in which Young Defender 3rd NAP Tuensang lifted the championship cup while Red Ribbon Club Muleangkiur village and 3rd NAP Out Sector emerged as 1st and 2nd Runners up respectively.
