Coronavirus forces Big Bazaar to begin home delivery in Northeast India

Dimapur, March 21 (EMN):  Popular shopping hub Big Bazaar has announced that the retail firm will be providing home delivery services to customers starting from March 21 in Northeast India as concerned customers stay away due to contracting the coronavirus.  

Big Bazaar’s customer seva desk’s K Khamnyei Konyak told Eastern Mirror that the delivery service to customers’ doorstep was started because of the Coronavirus scare.

“Our customers are afraid to come out and shop at the store so we are proving home delivery of our products within a 5 km radius from the store at City Tower,” Konyak said.

Konyak informed that the retail store’s delivery boys have all been sensitised, and they wear masks and apply hand sanitizer.

“Hopefully more customers will make use of this instant home delivery,” Konyak said.

Customers can call the nearest Big Bazaar store to avail the service.
