Shining Star Taekwondo Academy wins the Dimapur District Taekwondo Championship where 240 players competed.

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur District Taekwondo Association (DDTA) organised its district championship at the Multi Disciplinary Sports Complex near the DC Court Junction recently, with 240 players participating.
According to an update, the selected gold medallists from the event will represent Dimapur district at the upcoming 36th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship, scheduled to be held from July 28 to the 30th at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima.
Shining Star Taekwondo Academy emerged as the team champions, securing 26 gold, eight silver, and nine bronze medals. Dream Works Taekwondo Academy finished as the first runners-up with 12 gold, eight silver, and 14 bronze medals. The Chini Aier Memorial Taekwondo Academy was awarded the best discipline title.
In the individual awards, Nilovito Swu from Dream Works Taekwondo Academy and Manyata Chand from Shining Star Taekwondo Academy were named the best male and female fighters, respectively.

Sanjay Chetri from Dream Works Taekwondo Academy won the best male poomsae title, while Kinayala Aier from Chini Aier Memorial Taekwondo Academy was named the best female poomsae performer.
A total of 14 clubs, academies, and schools participated in the championship: Chini Aier Memorial Taekwondo Academy, Hollotoli School, Pilgrim Higher Secondary, Dream Works Taekwondo Academy, Dimapur City Taekwondo Club, Shining Star Taekwondo Academy, No. 1 Mgar Taekwondo Club, Yimkong's Taekwondo Club, Don Bosco Taekwondo Academy, Dimapur Taekwondo Academy, The Combat Academy, Kuda Taekwondo Academy, Ultimate Self Defence, and Indian Taekwondo Tigers.
