Sharingain Longkumer reaches out to party workers

Mokokchung July 5 (EMN): Sharingain Longkumer, the newly elected MLA from 26-Aonglenden assembly constituency, paid a visit to the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Mokokchung Region office and interacted with the party workers on July 5.

The young legislator lauded the party workers for ensuring that he won the prestigious seat with a thumping mandate and re-capturing the assembly seat again for NDPP. He also disclosed that the state government has now bestowed him with responsibilities.

Longkumer told the party workers that his doors are open; to look after the welfare of the party with open arms and urged them to venture out with a new vision with resolute unity among the party members.

The party region president Bendang told the legislator that he should coordinate and shoulder the responsibility of looking after all the 10 constituencies along with his constituency if the party wants to come to power again for the second term.

The President of 26-Aonglenden assembly constituency, NDPP, also acknowledged the overwhelming support and contribution from the party workers during the crucial hours of the by-election which resulted in a landslide victory for the party and the alliance partners.

Longkumer is currently touring the party offices in his constituency. On Friday, he met the party officials of Marepkong and Ungma. He also held a meeting with Ungma Village Council and Marepkong Ward Authority.
