Sharingain Longkumer, NDPP candidate for 26 Aonglenden AC, kicked off his election campaign in Kubza village on Tuesday.
Longkumer interacted with village council members, ward authorities, party workers and NDPP units from Kubza, Settsu, Sangtemla Ward and Marepkong ward. He has lauded the village council members and ward authority members for opening up ways to conduct a free and fair election atmosphere in their respective jurisdiction and expressed gratitude for giving him their blessing in the previous by-election. He has further sought their blessings again in the upcoming election.
Longkumer admitted that he could initiate and implement only some developmental activities in the past few years after the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown was relaxed. He added that there are many development activities left to be executed and need to be fulfilled.
He also challenged the party workers to stand true to their party principle and ideology as they would be going back to the people to seek their mandate again.
“There are hardly two weeks left for the poll, therefore, they must canvassed harder to get the mandate of the people and win the poll in record margin,” he said.
