Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): One-day training on Shaala Siddhi was held for head teachers and teachers in-charge (elementary level) under Mon district at Council Hall, Mon on June 21 under the aegis of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
Asst. Director, DSE, Nellayapan who was the resource person of the programme, stated that Shaala Siddhi is a tool meant for evaluation and improvement of schools in order to facilitate each school to provide consolidated self-evaluated report in key performance domain and core standards, including action for improvement. He advised the trainees to be honest while submitting the reports, informed an update from DIPR.
During the training, Nellayapan stressed on seven key domains: enabling resources of school such as availability, adequacy and usability; teaching-learning and assessment; learners’ progress, attainment and development; managing teacher performance and professional development; school leadership and management; inclusion, health and safety; and protective community participation.
He also explained to the participants about school evaluation dashboard on demographic profile, class annual attendance rate, learning outcomes and teachers’ profile.
