DIMAPUR — State Forest Service Association Nagaland (SFSAN) held its first conference in the conference hall of Forest Office Complex in Kohima on November 15 with the participation of SFS officers from all parts of the state.
An update from the association stated that its president, Ango Konyak, welcomed the members and presented achievements of the association till date.
It stated that the members discussed on several issues including procedures/ issues of induction to Indian Forest Service (IFS), posting/ officiating promotions of SFS officers, cadre/ non-cadre issues and the need for an early cardre review of the department, which has not been done since inception of the state.
Meanwhile, the association has elected new team of executives for the tenure 2023-2026 led by Chupitho as president, Vivika A Sema as general secretary, and Dr. Sevono Seletsu as treasurer.
The closing remarks were delivered by M Limaba (DCF), Enyiwekha (DCF) and Obed Bohovi Swu, president of NFESA. It further stated that a host of officers including Rampaukai (DCF) and Tokugha (DCF) also spoke during the conference.
