SFS Hr. Sec. School take MTSU Interschool Tournament title

DIMAPUR — In the final of the higher secondary section of the 8th Medziphema Town Students’ Union (MTSU) Interschool Tournament, St. Francis De Sales (SFS) Higher Secondary School emerged as the winner against Government Higher Secondary School Medziphema, scoring 2 goals in the regulated time.

The goals came from Paotinsat Sithlou, who scored from a penalty due to a handball inside the box, according to an update. Kevisede sealed the game with a solo run past four defenders, netting the ball from a zero angle. The final score was 2-0.

In the final of the high school section, a closely contested match took place between King David Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School Medziphema.

Government Higher Secondary School took the lead early with a goal from Kevineito. The second half saw a determined forward from King David Higher Secondary School, but their defenders were found lacking when Letboison and Visalie took the game away.

The consolation for King David Higher Secondary School came from Kezhavizo, who finally found the net in the dying minute. The final score was 3-1 in favour of Government Higher Secondary School Medziphema.

The award for the best coach went to Lhouvikolie Nagi from King David Higher Secondary School, while the best manager was awarded to Botovi Yepthomi from SFS Higher Secondary School.

King David Higher Secondary School was recognised as the best disciplined school, and the young gun of the tournament was awarded to Lunchon Hangsing from Modern Christian School.

In the higher secondary section, individual prizes were awarded as follows: the best defender went to Vichuzoto from SFS, and the best goalkeeper was awarded to Medongusie, also from SFS.

The top scorers were Paotinsat Sithlou and Kevisede Nakhro, both from SFS. The player of the tournament was awarded to Metevil from Government Higher Secondary School Medziphema.

In the high school section, individual prizes were awarded as follows: the best defender went to Kikruneilie from SFS, while the best goalkeeper was awarded to Keviseyie Vasa from Government Higher Secondary School.

The top scorer was Kezhavizo Savino, and the player of the tournament was Neisetso Yalie from King David Higher Secondary School.
