  • During the programme, the president officially declared Singtra Valley a plastic-free zone. He announced a ban on single-use plastics such as straws, plastic plates, cups, carry bags, and water bottles. People are encouraged to use alternatives such as cloth or jute bags, paper straws, and reusable containers and bottles.

  • It was mentioned that, to support this initiative, the union will install separate bins for biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, promote composting of organic waste, and display posters promoting plastic-free alternatives. The union also requested all visitors to cooperate in maintaining Singtra Valley as a clean and plastic-free place.
