Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): A free eye camp was conducted by Bharatiya Janata party ST Morcha, Nagaland unit at the BJP head office in Kohima on September 15.
According to a press statement, it was informed that this was done as part of Sewa Saptah (service week) in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, which falls on September 17.
Altogether, 71 persons turned up for the free eye check up on the first day, out of which 31 persons received medical attention and were also given spectacles free of cost, it read. The other 41 persons are scheduled to be attended on September 16.
Meanwhile, the state BJP organised and launched the semi -virtual Sewa Saptah on September 14 at its head office wherein president of ST Morcha Nagaland unit , Wanphong Awan Konyak chaired the program, state secretary Zaveyi Kezo delivered the concluding remarks, and state general secretary and convenor of Sewa Saptah, Khevishe Sema launched the service week.
