Mokokchung, Oct. 15 (EMN): The second edition of Yajen Aier Award ceremony for meritorious students was held on Friday at Asetkong Mungdang Senden Salang, Kobulong, where seven students were presented with the awards in the presence of Temsuchuba Jamir, SDO(C) Mokokchung, as special guest.
Recipients of Yajen Aier Award 2021 were NBSE/ HSLC toppers Tiamongba Aier, Ochien and Wangshirenla as well as NBSE/ HSSLC (Arts) topper Chubatola. Awards were also presented to best performing students from schools within Asetkong namely Lensen Ozukum, class 8 student of CMHSS Impur; Temsuyanger, class 9 students of CMHSS Impur; and Sentisang, class 10 student of Yajen Aier GHS Mopungchuket.
It was informed that Asetkong Mungdang would award subject toppers and their teachers from schools within Asetkong from next year. Meanwhile speaking at the event, Temsuchuba Jamir urged the teachers to teach the students not only the subscribed subjects but give importance to the value of life. He further advised the students not to derail their focus as they take the first flight in life towards achieving their goal.
