Sericulture dept bids farewell to outgoing director

Dimapur, March 9 (EMN): The department of Sericulture bade farewell to its outgoing director, Chandan Basera, who retired on February 28, on March 7. At the programme, E.E Pangteang Konyak, Parliamentary Secretary of Sericulture & Home Guards & Civil Defence, describedthe outgoing director as a sincere, dedicated and devoted person. He also expressed his gratitude for all the initiatives he has done in uplifting the department and bringing many monumental achievements during his tenure. C.M Tsanglao, IAS, Secretary, Sericulture, while wishing the outgoing director a healthy and long happy retired life, reminded the officers and staffs of the department to carry forward the good legacy of the outgoing director and also welcome the incoming director, Imtisosang Ao.In his farewell speech, Chandan Basera gave a brief account of his service life, challenges, experiences and achievements he had in the department. With his theme of ‘Service before self,’ he impressed upon the officers and staffs to work consistently to fulfil the missions with patriotism, sacrifice and professional excellence. He also expressed his profound gratitude and honour to the department for all the support and coordination he had received during his tenure and to cherished the fond memories in his retired life.
