DIMAPUR — The administrative heads of departments (AHoDs) and heads of departments (HoDs) convened a coordination meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima, on Wednesday.


According to a DIPR report, the meeting focused on key administrative priorities, inter-departmental coordination, and strengthening governance processes.


Imchen on the occasion announced the upcoming pre-Christmas celebration, directing the Home department to coordinate with the Chief Minister’s Office for timely preparations.


Stressing adherence to established procedures, he urged AHoDs and HoDs to ensure meticulous file processing and to routinely brief their respective advisors and ministers on rules and procedures.

Expressing concern over the rise in legal setbacks for the state government, Imchen urged all departments to treat legal issues with utmost seriousness and to adopt a proactive approach in defending government cases. He also reminded officers of their responsibility to attend state dinners, noting frequent absences.


On the adoption of digital systems, the chief secretary advised each department to appoint a nodal officer for eOffice to streamline digital workflow and improve efficiency.

The Finance Department delivered a briefing on the Enhanced State Government Salary Package (SGSP), a customised banking and insurance solution for state government employees, formalised through an MoU with the State Bank of India on March 27, 2025.
