DIMAPUR — Sentiningsang Longkumer, Honorary Secretary of the Nagaland Basketball Association, has been appointed team manager of the India U18 girls basketball team for the FIBA U18 Asia Cup - SABA Qualifiers 2026, scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka from May 25 to the 29th.
Longkumer is the first basketball administrator from Nagaland to lead an Indian national basketball team as manager.
An update mentioned that he also serves as an executive member of the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), representing the state at the national level.

Schedule, guidelines issued for zonal Pre-Subroto football tournament
The girls' group qualifiers will feature India, Maldives, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The competition schedule is as follows:
May 25: India vs Maldives (Girls)
May 26: Bangladesh vs India (Girls)
May 27: Sri Lanka vs India (Girls)
May 29: Final (1st vs 2nd, Girls)
Both India’s U18 girls' and U18 boys' teams will compete for continental qualification.
The India U18 girls' team squad includes Aditi Subramanian, Angelina George, Mahek Sharma, Nethra Birudavolu, Vaishnavi Pardeshi, Viha Reddy Jonnalagadda (captain), Reva Kulkarni, Jeffrin Anto, Saanvi Kolisetty, Sanvi Ranot, Taarushee Tarun, and Tarannum Begum.
The coaching staff comprises Head Coach Sarah Dawn Gayler, alongside coaches Anitha Paul Durai and Saloni. Manoj Singh Sisodiya will serve as the trainer, Reshma Senthil Kumar as the physiotherapist, and Head of Delegation and Team Manager Sentiningsang Longkumer.
The India U18 boys' team squad comprises Aakash Iyappan, Abhyupang Mishra, Arman, Chirag, Fatehjeet Singh, Joypreet Sidhu, Khushnaz Baidwan, Krishna Suneriya, Piyush Choudhary (captain), Ronaldo Hopkins, Priyadharsan Rathinam, and Shekhar Rathee.
The support staff includes Head Coach Paramdeep Singh, coaches Vipin Kannan, Rohit Kumar, and Loganathan Thiruvengadam, physiotherapist Krunalkumar Rajeshkumar Chudasma, and Team Manager Wanlambok Lawphniaw.
