A single song album titled “Waromung Compound” written and composed by Senti Longchar “Desert King” and Imli Jamir “AK” was released in Kohima by Pilum Ligu, a social activist from Arunachal Pradesh. The recorded was recorded at Clef Ensemble Studio.
The song tells about the struggle of early day’s school and the spreading knowledge to the people during the late 1940’s at Waromung Compound and “Yimpeni” about a Kilometer away from Waromung village under Mokokchung district.
Releasing the song, Pilum Ligu said that by learning the history of Waromung Compound it was obvious that despite of wild nature’s fury and worldly facilities, it was a big challenge to the teachers and the government for spreading education to the people during those years. Senti (DK) is known for his philantrophical works and his idea for connecting people across the globe and motivating them through his simple lyrical songs and poems.
Ligu added that DK was also the winner of the first www.indihut.com Indigenous Talent Hunt which was promoted and supported by the same site produced by MoTo, a gifted and versatile international music producer.
Fans may logon to www.reverbnation.com or www.youtube.com for DKs song collection.
