DIMAPUR — Esa Warriors, Old Boys, and Kohima Legends registered wins in their respective matches in the ongoing Senior's Masters League (SML) 3 played on January 31 and February 1 in Chümoukedima.
According to an update, on January 31, Chümou Veterans won the toss and opted to field. Esa Warriors put up a competitive 164/8 in 20 overs, with Raza leading the charge with 52 runs, while Rakesh (48) and Pankaj (30) provided support.
In reply, Chümou Veterans were bowled out for 123 in 18.2 overs, falling short of the target. Esa’s bowlers applied consistent pressure throughout the inning. For his performance of 52 runs and a three-wicket haul, Raza was awarded Man of the Match.
In the second match on January 31, Old Boys won the toss and opted to bat, putting up 174/4 in 20 overs. Abhijit Saha led with 70 runs, supported by Meren Jamir (47), Anga Shuya (20), and Suneper (15).

In reply, Lhomithi SC produced a chase where the middle order showed character as Wapang Zong (55), Hamrung Langthasa (39), Tohoto Chisho (38), and Hino Chishi (17) kept the contest alive. The match went down to the final over, with five runs needed off the last six balls.
However, Old Boys pacer Suneper defended the runs, and Lhomithi SC finished on 169/4 in 20 overs. For his knock, Abhijit Saha was awarded Man of the Match.
On February 1, Nzon CC won the toss and opted to bat, posting 125/8. Meshenti Apon top-scored with 38 runs, while Alo Kez (30) and Samuel Shohe (18) made contributions.
