Sendenyu Lojvü Students’ Union holds general conference-cum-felicitation programme

Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): The Sendenyu Lojvü Students’ Union (SLSU) held its 43rd General Conference-cum-Felicitation programme for successful HSLC and HSSLC studetns at Sendenyu Village Council Panchayat Hall on Saturday.

Special quest of the occasion, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Kegwayhun Tep, encouraged the student community to work hard and have commitment, saying that it will empower them to achieve their goals.

He stressed on the need for the student bodies in villages and the villagers to work collectively with the educational institutions in their jurisdictions and monitor if the teachers are discharging their responsibilities in order to enhance the quality of education in rural areas.

Prof. G Thomas Thong, HOD Geology, Nagaland University; President of Rengma Students’ Union, Heiko Ken; and SLSU president Asa Bukh also spoke at the programme chaired by SLSU general secretary Shoruno Thong.

NSF president also unveiled the monolith of the event during the occasion.

It was informed that as many as 38 successful students in the HSLC and HSSLC examination 2021 were felicitated by the Education Secretary SLSU, Kesholo Thong.
