Imphal, Dec. 8 (EMN): The Senapati district administration is all set to host the Cabinet meeting of BJP-led government in Manipur on Wednesday.
The meeting will be held at Senapati’s mini secretariat office complex, located 60 km north of Imphal.
This is the second time the district is hosting a Cabinet meeting; the first occasion being on April 16, 2018.
Official sources said that necessary arrangements are being made at the DRDA hall located inside deputy commissioner’s office premises in the hill town.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, other cabinet ministers and high-level officials are scheduled to arrive at the venue at around 10 am on Wednesday to inaugurate around eight projects, apart from laying the foundation stone for five other projects, sources said.
The main agenda of the cabinet meeting was not known. However Chief Minister Singh, while distributing loans to street vendors under Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANidhi) in Imphal on Monday, informed that they will resolve to extend PM-SVANidhi and MUDRA schemes to hill districts.
He also informed that 10 new women’s markets would be constructed in different hill districts and in Bishnupur and Sekmai of valley districts.
Soon after the cabinet meeting the chief minister will review the progress of ongoing projects in the district.
After lunch, the chief minister along with his council of ministers will interact with the district’s community leaders, representatives of the civil society organisations and leading personalities.
