Seminar debates on Bible-centric curriculum

A seminar on “Introduction to the Church-Based Training Curriculum of Centres of Church Based Training” was offered for two days in Youth Oasis Centre at Eralibill in Dimapur on November 28 and the 29th by the Academy for Church Planting and Leadership of Dimapur. Resource person for the seminar were Rev. David Buckert, the President of Centers for Church Based Training, Rev. Eric Paul one of the governing board members of CCBT and the senior pastor of Beth El Bible Church, El Paso, Texas and Rev. Dr. Jayakumar, the President of Academy for Church Planting and Leadership.
The seminar was mainly focused to introduce a church-based curriculum to facilitate the local church leaders to create ‘learning communities’ in the churches to learn and grow together in God’s Word and for His Mission.
The seminar consisted of 3 sessions which were on Discovery, Exploration, and Leadership – spread into 48 essentials topics of each series together in 12 books.
Pastors, academicians of Bible colleges, and church leaders have taken part with enthusiasm.
Resource persons emphasized the importance of local churches and the need for establishing the ‘learning communities’ in the churches in order to make people to grow in Christ like character. Ghusheli Ayemi, the regional coordinator of BBCM organized the event.
Rev. Dr. Jayakumar challenged the ecclesiastic leaders to come forward and make use of the curriculum and strengthen their respective churches. He also invited church leaders and pastors to contact him for further details of the course curriculum at jkbbcm@a4cpl.org.
Participants during the seminar also expressed the need for such a Bible and church-based curriculum for Nagaland churches to strengthen their own people for God’s purpose.
