“Seminar for students and young adult was organized by DSAK at Kohima to make them better-adjusted persons in life”

To encourage students to be more responsible and to work for the welfare of the society and to make them better adjusted persons in life with a clear insight of their abilities, aptitudes, and personality traits on various ways, a one-day “seminar for students and young adult” was held September 13 at Chakhesang Baptist Church Jubilee Memorial Hall. The programme was organized by Dzülhami Students Association, Kohima (DSAK). President, DSAK Khovelü in her presidential address said, the idea behind organizing the seminar is to make the students community more socialized and to encourage them to compete with other communities in various ways with perseverance.
Rural Development, Assistant Director Razukhrü Vasa, Dr. Vephizo Keyho, Dr. Ditamulü Vasa, Professor Nagaland University and Disahi Vadeo were the resource persons. The main topics of the seminar were career guidance, health education, cultural education and quality education & dignity of labour respectively.
Addressing a host of students, Razukhrü Vasa advised them to discover one’s area of interest and passion and to pursue vigorously to be successful. Self-discipline in using time, food habit, performing regular duty were the main keys to success in life, he added.
He encouraged the average students and said everyone had their own unique talent and asked them to identify the strong point and work hard accordingly.
He also shared career guidance in various ways to pursue further studies in Nagaland and outside and the eligibility, the nature of jobs, opportunities available, and the requirements for these jobs.
Exhorting the gathering, Zachilhu Vadeo, Ex-minister of Nagaland stressed on the importance of having dreams in life, he urged the students to dream big and work hard, which would carry them forward.
In this, he said will power and strong determination would push them ahead. Zalhüzü Vasa, Ura Academy members while exhorting the students stressed on the importance of preserving the original language of our forefather. He regretted that many of the original language are vanishing.
Around hundred students from different schools and colleges attended the seminar. The session was led by Rükuvoyi keyho, Bible reading & prayer by Phükhwüyi Melhare, while special song was presented by Ralü Keyho, the seminar ended with closing prayer by Vezopra Naroh.
