Dimapur, Oct. 25 (EMN): Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is getting a Game of the Year Edition, about a year and a half after the game was first released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The Game of the Year Edition will be a free update for existing owners of the game and the update brings new boss challenge modes, unlockable character skins, and player recordings.

The action-adventure video game, developed by From Software and published by Activision, received much praise from critics and gamers alike for its pace, combat mechanics and level design. According to Techspot, “In its first 24 hours, Sekiro had 108,000 concurrent players on Steam.”

Two new boss challenge modes will be available with the new update. The Reflections of Strength mode will let players replay one of their favourite boss fights again. The Gauntlet of Strength mode will be more like a boss rush mode where players will get to fight one boss after another without any extra lives.

Another new feature is “recordings”, also known as remnants, where players can record 30 seconds of game footage and share it as a ghost version of your gameplay to other players.

Expect viral YouTube videos of players completing the new Gauntlet of Strength mode without taking a single hit once the update releases worldwide on Oct.28.
