Security forces successful in controlling wildfire at Dzükou Valley

Dimapur, Jan. 9 (EMN): Teams of security forces from the Spear Corps along with NDRF have been deployed to extinguish the wildfire near Dzükou Valley, which has been raging since December 29.

A defence release issued by PRO (Def), Lt. Col. Sumit K Sharma, on January 9, stated that the teams operating in the northern part across Dzükou River, were successful in dousing fire in a large area and are creating fire lines to arrest further spread.

It added that Spear Corps teams are also catering for critical logistics support to the NDRF team at Dzukou Valley, providing the much-needed impetus to the overall efforts. It further stated that the civil administration and NDRF team have appreciated the quick response from the security forces.
