Dimapur, Oct. 4 (EMN): As part of the ongoing crackdown on illegal activities in Nagaland, security forces along with state police representative apprehended one drug peddler in general area of Tsumang ‘A’ colony in Wokha town on October 3.
According to a defence release, the individual was arrested in a joint operation based on specific intelligence inputs.
The joint team recovered four cases of rum and whisky, four beer cans and 13 packets of cocaine/heroin worth an approximate amount of INR 57,280from the accused.
It added that the apprehended individual along with recovered items were handed over to Wokha police station for further investigation.
In another incident, security forces along with representative from the state police apprehended one alleged NSCN (IM) cadre along with contraband items from Chümoukedima ward 9, Dimapur, on October 2.
The joint team recovered 1460 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon, 12 cases of rum and whisky, and two cases of can beer worth an approximate amount of INR 2.7 lakh from his possession.
The report added that the apprehended individual along with recovered items were handed over to Chümoukedima police station, Dimapur, for further investigation.
