Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): A security force of Dao Division have been involved in relentless operations against insurgents in South Arunachal Pradesh and Tinsukia district of Assam for the last one month and has been able to restrict the movements of NSCN cadres and also has again stuck a blow to their extortion activities, reported through a press release.
In another such operation, the Changlang Battalion in the evening of Sep.15 and morning of Sep.16 launched an operation in Malugaon of Tinsukia district.
It further stated that on Sep. 15 evening it apprehended Kngmu Hakhun alias Ramesh Kakhun with a pistol, ammunition and a radio set On spot interrogation, he revealed his allegiance to NSCN (K) and had joined the banned outfit in 2015 and was working as a Ranapio and OGW in Ledo belt by providing logistic help and carrying out extortion on behalf of NSCN (K).
Thereafter on Sep.16 morning, the Security Forces apprehended a hardcore NSCN (K) cadre, self styled private Singmai Hacheng.
The individual admited his allegiance to this banned organisation and informed that he was initially recruited in NSCN (R) in Jun 2015, carried out training with them and later defected to NSCN (K) in Mar 2016 and has been involved with this banned outfit since them, it added.
